The company was set up in 2003 by the Managing Director, Mark Gray. A textile chemist. He has a background that has been closely involved in manufacture and technical sales of chemicals for the last 17 years.

It was with this knowledge that GRAYCHEM created to supply the Horse Rug Laundry market with chemicals that in essence "Did the Job."

After a lot of research and testing and customer trials, GRAYCHEM was increased in size and now supplies a large proportion of the horse rug washing industry with its chemicals.
